General everyday cleaning of the arcade machines is important.
In most cases machines simply require a good wipe down using a bucket of hot water with fairy liquid (or another general purpose washing up liquid) and a good cloth.
This will help to the remove the normal dirt and grime build up off the machines and make them more appealing for that days players.
One of the most common issues is where a customer has spilt a drink over an arcade machine, this should be cleaned up ASAP.
Cleaning a Dance/Pump it Up Stage
These stages get used a lot and can get dirty quickly. The best way to clean these is using a damp mop and a general purpose floor cleaner diluted in warm water, like Flash.
The rest of the cabinet can be cleaned with a cloth using warm water and fairy liquid.
Cleaning Basket Ball Games
The large hardwood floor and the player ball collection pit on a Basket Ball game get dirty overtime. The best way to clean these is using a damp mop and a general purpose floor cleaner diluted in warm water, like Flash.
Dealing with a Sticky Arcade Button
Sticky fingers and spilt drinks can often cause an arcade button to become sticky or even seize up. In this case a general spray cleaner like flash bleach, or possibly a glass cleaner, might be able to free the switch.
Spray the cleaner at the switch, the idea is to a get some of the fluid running down inside the plastic button to help dilute any stickiness.
After a few moments try to operate the switch by pushing down, the releasing it, repeating this action several times until it frees up. You might need to apply more cleaning fluid, or give it more time to activate.
